Setting Up the Lab
For years, the Lisbon Learners traversed Lisbon by foot, train, bus, and car. From one location to another, kids and their parents traveled far and wide to participate in enrichment programs hosted by other parents and local teachers.
Over time, this became a bit much, especially in the rain. “There must be a place we could go,” some of the parents commented to others. Space in Lisbon, though, is hard to come by.
Luckily, one mother, Kiley, found a space we could use during the day! The amount of work associated with this shouldn’t be discounted, though. Making sure there’s enough time and space for all of our activities - then coordinating with teachers and parents - it has definitely been a labor of love.
